What to Wear to Work series

I don't have any meetings today so I thought I'd try a dressy casual look. Here's my inspiration.

Here's what I wore.

...everything about this!

Nothing better than a rocking outfit, I'm not skipping any details! I wanted a retro and classic look, that's why I overlooked every details.

It's a look I thought about weeks ago when I order this skirt from the brand Onoz so of course I needed a top that would stand out, can't go with easy choices, and you know me I often have fashion obsessions! It's again at Asos Curve that I found my dream with this checked top, the only difficulty was to wear it over the skirt without making too many folds (goes down mid-thigh, the devilish thing!).

I'm a little too much in love with this skirt and I suggest you take a good look on the website of Onoz as they are doing great deals on some very nice pieces, I did buy quite a few things. I can tell you some very nice looks are on the way, I can't wait to show you, my brain is on fire!

I'm already looking for the perfect combinations. Let's get on with my bun! Yes the huge one I have on my head is a supersize version, like seen here, and thanks to a hairpiece, it's so easy to make and it looks so good! A lot of people didn't believe me when I told them it only took me 5mn to make! I added the link right under the photos, as usual!

The rest you already know, my usual combo: bag, gloves and court shoes and let's not forget my little vintage coat bought more than 10 years ago. It's worth keeping some oldies goodies. I gave it back a bit of its youth with a leather belt (from my skater skirt) , I tied over to structure my waist.

That's it for today, I shall leave you with the arrival of the snow (which almost made my ears cold).

Bon lundi!

I hope you all had a great Monday.

Lippy Review

I know this is an outfit blog, but due to my local KMart closing, I was able to pick up some great cosmetics at 90%.  Such a great sale, I thought I'd share.  Here are my current favs in rotation.

Revlon's Fig Jam shoes up brown with a very distinct reddish brown. I bought it thinking it would be a great chocolate.  It is not straight chocolate.

Covergirl's Divine is PRETTY!  It is a bold magenta and a lot of fun to wear.  It reminds me of this picture I pinned on Pinterest.
I haven't worn Maybelline's Captivating Coral yet, but I am looking forward to it
Revlon's Iced Chocolate comes off as a pretty browned mauve.  It's easily an everyday grab for my NC 40 skin tone.
NYX's Chloe is a true magenta.
I forsee wearing Maybelline's Electric Shock throughout the summer.
Revlon's Fuchsia is more of a hot pink than a magenta.  Believe it or not this and the above 2 pinks have completely different hues.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipstick by Make Up For Ever.  $20 at Sephora (I got it from returning a gift) the lipstick is highly pigmented.  The color comes off just as it looks... a glorious shade of purple.
Revlon's Colorburst Sunbaked has almost no shade of brown.
Revlon's Peony is a shiny pink.  Fun but not a lot of staying power.
I wanted to try Drew Barrymore's new cosmetic line, Flower. My Little Buttercup is anything to rant and rave about.  It is the EXACT color of my complexion, so I don't plan on giving it away.
Revlon's Crystal Water was $1.  I got it because it was so cheap.  I thought it would have more shimmer, but it is more of a clear gloss.  You get the iridescent effect when you pile on the gloss.
Have you gotten any new cosmetics lately?
