I Went. I SHOPPED. I conquered.

The spelling in the title was on purpose. MJR Sales is in town and I love when they are. MJR Sales is based out of Columbus, but travels around the Ohio area where they open up an even further discounted store for about 4 days at a time. MJR is here from this past Thursday to Sunday (tomorrow).

I Went.
Yes, I went a couple of times. Because I never had a big bulk of time to really do the part of shopping that I like to do (the hunt), I had to "hunt" in spurts.

I SHOPPED.
I was able to take advantage of a few of the sales. Mostly I just enjoyed seeing the deals.

I conquered.
While I fought the urge to go back for a fourth time, I conquered the urge and didn't leave the house. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Something So Satisfying about a Sale (pic heavy)

I found out that MJR Sales (a traveling warehouse store for Victoria Secret, Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Chadwicks, and other stores) was in my city on the second day of its five day stay. It has been awesome looking at deals and watching my friends and family take advantage. I even saw the writer of one of my favorite blogs. I blurted out "I read your blog this morning!!!!!!" I was immediately mortified at my rookie, stalker style greeting. She was MORE than gracious. Here's some of the things that caught my eye while I was giddily making a fool of myself.

I LOVE Sales

There's very little that jazzes me more than a good sale. Lane Bryant had a flash sale yesterday where the entire store was 50% off (except for Spanx). Here are a few things that caught my eye. All of these items are on clearance.

To go or not to go.... Strapless

About two years ago I discovered an AWESOME strapless bra. After purchasing several expensive versions of a strapless I bought a BANDEAU BRA because I refused to give up on wearing strapless dresses, and was tired of hiding straps. I also was determined to prove (at least to myself) that pretty is about confidence not the scale. I figured if I bought the bra too small it would do better at holding my girls.

Little did I know that it would be the smartest purchase I would make that year! My bandeau bra has been comfortable and easy to wear with my strapless wardrobe. The pretty penny I paid for it was worth it.

Well, my theory about the market is right. Wait long enough and the most expensive things will go down in price and be available in the most convenient locations. I saw the bandeau bra in a multitude of colors today at DOTS! And for $5.50!!!!! They go from small to 3x. Check them out. And if you have sizable girls I'd suggest going down a size.

I hit the lottery with the numbers 6.99

So those who know me know that I mean this metaphorically. My mom and I did some shopping this weekend (thanks mom!) and found the following at Lane Bryant on the $6.99 rack.

I found this jacket and skirt in olive green, but could only find the pics online in grey.






I found this jacket. Unfortunately, the only matching skirt on the rack was 2 sizes too small.


Very well-spent $22.
